BearingPoint contractor to DMDC.  Financial Manager for the division that makes the Defense Biometric IDentification System (DBIDS).  It detects bad guys.  A great example of (apparent oxymoron coming...) entrepreneurial government.

WebLOQ.  Startup with a novel secure email system.  I helped them with strategy and positioning.
Natural Language Processing -- Association for Computational Linguistics
Software simulation design -- Association for Computing Machinery, particularly "Interactions" magazine.
eDrama Learning, Inc. A company I founded in 1998 to simulate emotional customers over the web for learning purposes.
Social Simulation -- real simulation, like in flight simulators. Computer simulation of societies, and their journal. Also, Agent Based Social Simulation.

First Night Monterey, an alcohol-free celebration of the new year. Volunteer for six years, on board of directors.
Burning Man -- An extreme outdoor experience, as well as a combination of Woodstock and Mardi Gras with art installations and art cars thrown in. I rangered two years, and did emergency services (911 dispatch) for six years. I help maintain the city's communications system outside the event. I am Regional Coordinator for Monterey - the discussion list is on Yahoo Groups.
